Technical Assistance 

Northwest Renal Network provides the following:

  • Education and assistance regarding CMS/Network directed QI projects
  • Resources for the Conditions for Coverage for dialysis facilities
  • Development of internal QAPI programs and action plans
  • Survey readiness and survey responses
  • Development of emergency preparedness plans and patient/staff education
  • Vascular access expertise and education on cannulation
  • Water quality and water treatment issues
  • QIP and DFR education and intervention planning

Community Information and Patient Services

  • Assistance with resolution of complaints and grievances
  • Managing challenging situations and potential involuntary discharges
  • Education regarding community resource information and materials
  • Development of patient education programs
  • Vocational Rehabilitation information and a Toolkit resource
  • Locating patient transient dialysis care

Data/Information Management

  • Provide assistance and clarification for the completion of CMS Forms (2728, 2746, 2744) via CrownWeb when applicable or manually
  • Refer to resources for the CrownWeb System including training modules
  • Educate and assist facilities regarding reports sent from the Network
  • Network Reports (Quarterly Report, Forms Compliance Reports)
  • Assist with the development of action plans to improve forms completion processes
  • Process data requests from facilities

Administrative Issues

  • Provide education and assistance regarding CMS requirements
  • Communicate essential information and safety alerts via mail, NWRNBulletin, or fax
  • Forward renal community, patient and provider concerns to CMS
  • Develop collaborative partnerships to promote improved quality outcomes for patients
  • Inform facilities about Network goals and activities
