Some examples: Power/water interruptions, natural disasters, roads are not passable for patients to get to dialysis/home patients to get needed supplies, evacuations, disruption due to COVID-19 coronavirus.

The Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) Program provides technical assistance to End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Networks to ensure timely and efficient disaster preparedness, response, and recovery for the kidney community.
